22/01 Wednesday. Class 5

Hello

Unfortunately, we couldn´t watch the second part of the video due to some technical problems. Here´s the link - Video Part 2, watch it and do the exercises in the copy.
Check for the transcript in case if you don´t understand the speech.

We read about some famous festivals in the world and learnt some adjectives (sunny, beautiful, colourful, incredible, fantastic, impressive, exciting, traditional, tasty etc.).

Today we learnt about some traditions that people have celebrating some holidays (to let off fireworks, to wear costumes, to burn dummies, to dress up as witches, to eat a stuffed turkey, to cook traditional meal, to light bonfires etc.).

We also revised some very famous holidays and he dates:
Halloween - October 31st

St Patrick´s Day - March 17th
Independence Day - July 4th
Guy Fawkes Night - November 5th

Your homework is to prepare a short speech about different holidays, using your copy: what people do that day, what the traditions are, what people eat and drink etc.
