This week we were talking about different medical professions and learnt some new words (a chemist, a dentist, an ophthalmologist, a doctor,an optician, a surgeon).Check the vocabulary list in this Vocabulary Link.

We listened to some dialogues where people are talking at the chemist´s and dentist. We payed attention to some expressions that we us to give strong advice or suggestions:
I suggest you use this skin cream.
You mustn´t use them more than three times a day.
You needn´t be afraid.
You need to have a feeling.
We must do it now before it gets worse.
For strong advice we use must/mustn´t, also we use mustn´t for prohibition.
We use need/needn´t for necessity/lack of necessity:
You must brush your teeth after meals.
You mustn´t go out when you have temperature.
I need to call my secretary.
